Current psychotherapies are not very effective and are also uneconomical since they are not carried out in an integrated way, being outpatient treatment, in-patient treatment or prescription only. A consequent deficiency is that a continually evolving personal development, consistent with maturity, does not happen.
I have developed in my outpatient practice for psychotherapeutic medicine a rehabilitation model that has been tested on 10 groups over 3 years.
The concept has 3 stages:
The 3 stages could be compared with the 3 stages of maturity – childhood, puberty and adulthood – and should be carried out by the same therapist. The imitation of the real stages of maturity, from the comfort of the childhood home through the conflict of puberty and the resulting development of one’s own identity, enables the patient to understand himself, the development of his symptoms and the ground strategy for an independent lifestyle in the future.
Post-therapeutic questionnaires show after 1-3 years and based on 130 patients: 80% were asymptomatic; 15% had dramatically reduced symptoms which could be influenced by the psyche and 5% did not respond.
